From August 16 to 19, Professor Ding Ronggui, Dean of the School of Management, Shandong University, conducted an official exchange visit to the Republic of Korea. He visited three universities successively, namely the College of Humanities and Social Sciences Convergence at the Mirae Campus of Yonsei University, the Business School of Sungkyunkwan University, and the College of Business and Economics at Chung-Ang University. He held symposia on international exchange and cooperation, and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the College of Business and Economics, Chung-Ang University, steadily advancing the School's international cooperation framework.
Between August 16 and 18, Professor Ding Ronggui participated in the summer exchange programme jointly organised by the School of Management, Shandong University and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences Convergence at the Mirae Campus of Yonsei University, and attended the symposium on cooperative exchange. Professor Seokju Go, Dean, and Professor Sangdo Oh, Associate Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences Convergence at the Mirae Campus of Yonsei University, attended the meeting. During the session, Professor Ding briefed participants on the School's disciplinary development, the undergraduate-master-PhD talent training system, and the development of MBA and executive education programmes. Professor Seokju Go shared updates on student training and faculty resources at his college. Both sides engaged in in‑depth discussions covering the renewal of exchange agreements, faculty mobility, and joint training programmes. Building upon an existing MOU, both sides exchanged ideas on advancing student exchange initiatives, laying a solid foundation for deeper future cooperation.
On August 19, Professor Ding visited the Business School of Sungkyunkwan University, where he held a cooperation symposium with Associate Dean Ayoung Suh and Director of the International Exchange Centre Youngjee Han. At the talks, both sides outlined their academic programmes, faculty development plans and research platforms. They exchanged views focusing on short‑term student exchange and joint training programmes, and explored deliverable cooperation models.
At the College of Business and Economics of Chung-Ang University, Professor Ding held working talks with Professor Sungmin Kang, Dean of the College of Business and Economics, and Professor Kaun Young Lee, Dean of the Graduate School of Business Administration. Professor Ding outlined the School’s vision for international cooperation and put forward proposals for collaboration including master’s joint training, faculty visits, and executive-programme exchanges. The Korean side presented details of its degree programmes and international student development programmes, and expressed willingness to pursue substantive cooperation with the School of Management. Following thorough deliberations, both sides reached broad consensus and formally signed an MOU, establishing a long‑term cooperative framework and institutional safeguards for follow‑up exchange activities.
Yonsei University ranks 42nd in the 2027 QS World University Rankings. As a private member of Korea’s renowned SKY university alliance, it boasts profound academic heritage. Sungkyunkwan University holds the 104th position in the same rankings. Its Business School draws on industrial resources from Samsung Group and delivers strong performance in business administration disciplines. Chung-Ang University features a well-rounded disciplinary layout, and its business school is accredited by AACSB. All three are leading Korean universities with distinct strengths in business-focused talent cultivation and international accreditation efforts. This visit is a key initiative to expand the School’s partnership network in South Korea and deepen bilateral business‑academic exchanges.
