From June 17 to 19, a delegation from the School of Management, Shandong University visited Thailand for a series of international exchange activities. The delegation attended the AACSB Asia-Pacific Accreditation Conference and also visited Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd. for cooperative discussions, aiming to expand international networks and explore innovative pathways for business education development in the age of artificial intelligence.
On June 17 and 18, the delegation participated in the AACSB Asia-Pacific Accreditation Conference, which brought together business school deans, accreditation officers and experts in higher business education across the region.The conference featured in-depth sessions on topics including updates to the 2026 AACSB accreditation standards, strategic planning, assurance of learning (AoL), social impact development, faculty development, and the integration of AI into business education. During the conference, the delegation actively took part in the China Business School Regional Meeting and multiple thematic forums, exchanging accreditation experiences and development practices with peers from AACSB-accredited institutions in the Asia-Pacific. These engagements provided the School with a clearer understanding of global trends in business education and the latest accreditation requirements.
On the margins of the conference, the delegation held separate meetings with Geoff Perry, Executive Vice President of AACSB for Asia-Pacific, the Americas, and Member Services, and Suzanne Mintz, Vice President of Accreditation at AACSB. Both sides exchanged in-depth views on continuous improvement in AACSB accreditation, strategic development of business schools, innovation in business education in the context of AI, and emerging directions in international business education. These talks further strengthened the School’s relationship with AACSB, deepened its awareness of worldwide business education evolution and updated accreditation criteria, and provided valuable references for the school’s ongoing accreditation.
On June 19, the delegation visited Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and held talks with the company’s senior management. The two sides exchanged views on digital talent cultivation, industry-university-research collaborative innovation, and AI-empowered business education.
This visit has further expanded the School’s international cooperation network and deepened its ties with both international accreditation bodies and leading industry players. Moving forward, the School will continue to pursue an open approach to education, actively connect with global quality educational resources and industrial innovation forces, steadily advance its international accreditation agenda, foster deeper collaboration across industry, academia, and research, and promote the deep integration of AI and business education. These efforts will consistently enhance the quality of talent cultivation and the School’s global standing.
