MBA

Program Introduction

Shandong University (SDU) is the first in Shandong province to gain the right to run an MBA program, the only university offering an EMBA program, and the only one able to independently determine the admission scores of MBA/EMBA.

The century-old comprehensive University is set in the hometown of Confucius and Mencius, which has been referred to as the “state of civilization and etiquette.” The SDU MBA/EMBA program is aimed at developing innovative and entrepreneurial “Confucian businessmen” who have the spirit of social responsibility, modern management methods, and the ability to cope with complex and changing market environments in the global context. By establishing “Confucian businessmen” as a brand, we aim to make major contributions to society and the economy.

To continue to improve teaching quality and to set a standard for all levels of management, SDU set up the MBA Education Center (in 1999) and the EMBA Education Center (in 2009) in the School of Management (SoM). The SoM’s Industry and Business Administration course subsequently achieved an A grade in the 4th round of China’s Discipline Ranking. Over 6,000 graduates have gone on to work in various enterprises and government departments after experiencing the first-class teaching facilities, high-level faculties, and professional MBA/EMBA teaching approach. Many of these now hold important leadership positions and have achieved outstanding results. The extensive, high-quality faculty and alumni resources illustrate SDU’s commitment to excellence and its strong support for MBA career development.
