In order to actively explore the synergistic development integration of education, science and technology, and talent, on March 6th, the executive director of Shandong Talent Development Strategy Research Institute, vice dean of the School of Management, Shandong University Tang Guiyao and other five people and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the School Zhou Lin with other four people, respectively went to Qingdao West Coast New Area to investigate the integration of “four-chain”, the construction of seed industry talents team and the deep integration of the university and the city.
On the morning of the 6th, Vice Dean Tang led the team of Research Institute to visit Jianliyuan Ecological Farm, Nonggao Complex, Qingyuan Seed Industry Headquarters Project, Zifei Blueberry Science Museum, and Lvze Painting Academy, listened to the introduction of the relevant information of each project, and understood the industrial foundation and planning of Qingdao West Coast Provincial Agricultural Hi-Tech District, and focused on the construction of a new platform for seed industry talents, and the attracting and nurturing path of high-end talents in the seed industry and the development of standards and other issues with the relevant person in charge of the development of the seed industry.
Deputy Secretary Zhou led the team of the School to the School of Economics and Management, China University of Petroleum(East China) to study and research. Meng Zhaogang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Economics and Management, attended the event and made a work introduction. At the meeting, the two sides carried out in-depth exchanges around promoting the Party Building to lead the development, recruiting talents to develop the team, upgrading the discipline construction, and improving the high-quality employment, and so on. Deputy Secretary Meng said that obtaining the support of the local area to achieve the common construction is a winning strategy for development, relying on the advantages of the School and discipline-driven, local economic and social development needs into the School’s construction tasks, to achieve two-way empowerment and two-way service. Deputy Secretary Zhou said that through the study and research, she deeply felt that there are many common topics and problems in the development and construction of the School of Business Studies and that more solutions should be sought to promote common development. It is hoped that in the future, there will be more in-depth exchanges and breakthroughs in cooperation in more specific areas.
In the afternoon of the 6th, all the researchers and party committee members of Nonggao District, the deputy director of the management committee, first-class researcher Li Kemin, Qingdao West Coast New Area Recruitment Centre Director He Jiongtian, and related staff carried out the “four-chain” integration seminar. Director He made a brief introduction to the situation of West Coast Provincial Agricultural Hi-tech District, and Researcher Li introduced the current construction, future goals, and implementation path of Qingdao International Seed Industry Joint Laboratory. Researcher Li said that the basic function of the Joint Laboratory is to attract and train talents and introduce projects, and it should further clarify its functional position and its internal structure. At the meeting, the two sides focused on the future development path of Qingdao International Seed Industry Joint Laboratory, advanced practices of seed industry talents leading the development of the industry, and other in-depth exchanges.
Through the research, Shandong Talent Development Strategy Research Institute collected relevant information on talent work and the “four-chain” integration practice of Qingdao West Coast Provincial Agricultural Hi-tech District, and acquired practical experience and innovative practices of Qingdao West Coast Provincial Agricultural Hi-tech District in the introduction, cultivation, and retention of talents in the seed industry, laying a foundation for the next step to complete the talent-related research work with high quality. The research and discussion with the School of Economics and Management promoted further exchanges and cooperation between the two schools in teaching and research and established a long-term communication and cooperation mechanism in the areas of faculty construction, sharing of internship and practice bases, and service to local development.
