In the morning of September 7, Ji Xiaoqing, Party Secretary of the School of Management, led a team to visit JIER Machine-Tool Group Co., Ltd. Zhao Mingji, Deputy General Manager of the group, Liu Wei, Secretary of Financial Management Department, Xu Haiyang, Deputy Director of the Headquarters Office, Sun Yiyin, Deputy Director of the Headquarters Office, Liu Wenbin, an alumnus of the School of Management attended the cooperation fair.
Zhao Mingji showed the participants around the History Museum of JIER Machine-Tool Group, the heavy-duty press machine assembly workshop, the CNC machine assembly workshop, and introduced the development course of the group in nearly 84 years, enabling the visitors deeply feel the group’s revolutionary progress from introducing machine-tool technology to making complete independent innovation and finally to realizing the world leading level development; from providing a single host equipment to completing “turnkey projects”, and finally to acting as the “general contractor” of international projects; from assembling independent brand automobile enterprises to assembling domestic joint venture automobile companies, and finally to assembling the world’s stamping supporting suppliers and complete car factories of international auto giants. JIER Machine-Tool Co., Ltd., committed to the goal of “creating a world-class machine tool manufacturing enterprise, shaping a world famous brand”, and the cultural concept of “cooperation, innovation, efficiency, responsibility”, has become a pioneering power of China as a high-end equipment manufacturer by taking arduous efforts and achieving innovative development.
During the discussion, Ji Xiaoqing pointed out that the development of the group not only represented the industrial development process of our country but also had great educational significance for it reflects the national spirit with patriotism as the core and the spirit of the times with reform and innovation as the core. Secondly, Ji Xiaoqing introduced the current situations of Shandong University and the development status of the School of Management, hoping that through this cooperation fair, both sides can strengthen exchanges and interactions.
Wang Yimin, Associate Dean of the School of Management, shared examples of Hisense, Inspur, Dong E E Jiao, and Handu Group, as objects of case study, stressing the spirit-leading role that enterprise culture construction plays in boosting the enterprise development. Wang regarded JIER Machine-Tool Group Co., Ltd. as a telling example of the most fine Chinese spirits of the times, hoping that the group can be seen as a research object to summarize and refine enterprise culture value, so as to provide help for the future development of other enterprises.
Shi Yan, Deputy Secretary of the School of Management, gave a brief introduction of the cooperation parts of two sides from talent cultivation, think tank construction, case development and other respects. She also said the two sides could give full play to own advantages, strengthen further cooperation and facilitate business integration by establishing “Double Leaders” Studio Demonstration Site of Department of Culture and Tourism and regarding the industrial tourism planning as a starting point.
JIER Machine-Tool Group Co., Ltd., founded in 1937, is one of the “18 state-owned” factories in the national machine tool industry. In 1953 and 1955, it developed China’s first large planing machine and the first large closed mechanical press respectively, and became the “hometown of planing machine” and “cradle of mechanical press” in China. Its main products are metal forming machine tool represented by CNC stamping machine and metal cutting machine tool represented by five axis CNC gantry processing center of s and other five classes.
