Symposium on Cooperation and Exchange Held Between School of Management and Queen's University Belfast

On May 21, M. N. Ravishankar, Dean of Queen’s University Belfast Business School, and Ren Shuang, Director of the International Executive Education Program at the William J. Clinton Leadership Institute, visited the School of Management, Shandong University. The two sides held a symposium to exchange views on topics including business education, international cooperation, executive education programs, and AACSB accreditation. Ding Ronggui, Dean of the School of Management, Tang Guiyao, Vice Dean, and Wang Jing, Director of the International Cooperation and Accreditation Centre, and other officials attended the meeting.

In the morning, the two parties exchanged views on institutional development and business education cooperation. Tang Guiyao introduced the development, talent cultivation and internationalization progress of the School of Management. M. N. Ravishankar introduced the educational situation and disciplinary strengths of Queen’s University Belfast Business School. After the discussion, the delegation paid a visit to the Shandong University Museum.


In the afternoon, a special forum focusing on AACSB accreditation was convened. On behalf of the School, Ding Ronggui extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Queen’s University Belfast. He elaborated on the educational strengths of Shandong University, as well as the foundations and distinctive features of the School of Management in disciplinary development, training systems, faculty building and international advancement. The two sides had thorough exchanges on prospective cooperation and AACSB accreditation work, particularly focusing on the interpretation of accreditation criteria, construction of quality assurance systems, curriculum optimization, faculty development, evaluation of student training outcomes and continuous improvement mechanisms. Drawing from their experience in business school development and internationalization, the Queen’s University Belfast representatives offered valuable suggestions on advancing the School’s AACSB accreditation work.


The two sides agreed to maintain close communication and actively explore practical cooperation in talent cultivation, curriculum development, executive education, faculty and student exchanges, and international accreditation, so as to deliver more cooperative achievements. Founded in 1845, Queen’s University Belfast is a member of the Russell Group in the United Kingdom, ranking 199th in the 2026 QS World University Rankings. Its Business School houses the William J. Clinton Leadership Institute, which specialises in leadership development and executive education programmes, featuring distinctive international features and a strong practice-oriented focus.
