Wu Zhaobin, alumnus of MBA Class of 2007 of the School of Management of Shandong University, EMBA of School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University (in progress), Standing Director of China-Africa Business Council, Member of China-Africa Entrepreneur Association.
After graduating from university in 2000, Wu Zhaobin was engaged in technology and market management in China Unicom, covering core network maintenance, interconnection, network operation quality system management, market development and marketing system management. Years of working experience in large-scale state-owned enterprises has cultivated Wu Zhao’s rigorous logical thinking, prudent work style, strong market research and operation control ability.
From 2007 to 2010, Wu Zhaobin completed his MBA study in the School of Management of Shandong University. After three-year systematic study, he further cleared the confusion in enterprise management system, ideas and industrial policies. Under the guidance of Professor Yang Huixin, former Dean of the School of Management, Wu Zhaobin’s graduation thesis Research on the Development Strategy of Mobile Business of Unicom in Shandong Province after Reorganization, completed by combining theoretical study and management practice, was awarded as excellent graduation thesis, and he himself was also awarded as 2010 Outstanding Graduate in Shandong Province.
From July 2010 to June 2013, Wu Zhaobin was appointed as the Operations Director of Startimes Communication Network Technology Co., Ltd. and dispatched to Mozambique as the CEO, responsible for the implementation of StarTimes digital TV project in Mozambique, including the establishment of the organizational structure of the joint venture company, and the establishment of market and operation system. In charge of the project operation, he participated in and implemented the technical and financing solutions of the overall digital TV conversion project in Mozambique. Through the perfect realization of the technical system construction and the key link design of the financing solution, the subsidiary in Mozambique became the first among 13 overseas operating companies of the Group to realize a complete financing scheme through the “preferential buyer” credit mode of the Export-Import Bank of China. The successful implementation of this project also lays a foundation for the group’s business to achieve breakthrough and rapid growth in Africa. In early 2013, Li Changchun, then member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, cut the ribbon for the opening ceremony of StarTimes subsidiary in Mozambique during his visit to Mozambique.
