On April 27th, the inaugural meeting of the Qingdao Branch of the School of Management Alumni Association, Shandong University was held in Qingdao, Shandong Province. Wu Changqi, Chair Professor and Dean of the School, Fu Yanzhi, Chairman of the Alumni Association and Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, Shi Qingyun, Executive Vice Chairman of the Alumni Association, and Li Kang, Vice Chairman of the Alumni Association and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, were present at the meeting. Representatives of the School's alumni in Qingdao, alumni associations around the world, and Qingdao branches of alumni associations of some sister colleges and universities attended the event.
Dean Wu emphasized in the speech that the establishment of the Qingdao Branch has built a bridge between the School and the alumni, effectively created an emotional, cultural, and career community, and set up a platform for continuously strengthening and improving the brand of “Alumni of the School of Management, Shandong University”. The School sincerely invites all alumni to actively participate in the construction of the Alumni Association, focus on economic and social development, continue to enhance the ability to serve the society, and continue to make contributions to the development of China's economic and the School.
Chairman Fu and Feng Enjie, the Chairman of the Qingdao Branch, unveiled the plaque for the Qingdao Branch and handed over the alumni flag to Jiang Wei, Secretary General of the Qingdao Branch.
Executive Vice Chairman Shi and Zhao Yiqun, Chairman of the Entrepreneurs Club of the Qingdao Branch, jointly unveiled the plaque for the Entrepreneurs Club. Vice Chairman Li unveiled the plaque for the Advisory Board.
Feng Enjie, Deputy of the Qingdao Municipal People's Congress and Director of Shandong Huiqin Law Firm, as the first chairman, said that he would strictly abide by the constitution of the Alumni Association, strive for the establishment purpose of the Alumni Association, and effectively carry out the work of the alumni. He will strengthen communication with alumni in Qingdao, and the Alumni Association will develop an ecosystem of alumni, school, and university, to provide a stage for growth and progress and contribute wisdom and strength to the School's construction and development.
In the afternoon, Chairman Fu, Executive Vice Chairman Shi, and Vice Chairman Li visited the Qingdao Branch of China Minsheng Bank and Qingdao TGOOD Electric Company and other alumni enterprises, and had discussions with the senior executives of the enterprises and the person in charge of the human resources department.
The establishment of the Qingdao Branch of the School of Management Alumni Association, Shandong University marks a new chapter in the alumni work of the School. Meanwhile, the School will continue to deepen the cooperation between schools and enterprises, actively explore the new mode of industry-academia-research integration, and make more contributions to the cultivation of high-quality talents with innovative spirit and practical ability.
