On May 23, Shi Yan, Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Management of Shandong University, led a team to visit Shanghai alumni to discuss the preparation of the School of Management Branch of Shanghai Alumni Association of Shandong University.
At the preparatory meeting, Shi Yan introduced the current development of Shandong University and the School of Management, as well as the preparations for the 120th Anniversary of the University. Alumni achievements, she said, are the main measure of the school’s achievements, and the task of alumni work is to build a platform for exchanges and cooperation between the university and alumni. Through the preparation of the School of Management Branch of Shanghai Alumni Association, a long-term stable contact between the School and alumni in Shanghai will be established to better serve the majority of alumni, thus helping alumni to better serve the development of society and contribute to the prosperity and rejuvenation of the country. On behalf of the School, Shi Yan sincerely invited all alumni to return on the occasion of the 120th Anniversary of Shandong University, to relive the old days, to recall alumni friendship and to share the development of Shandong University.
Alumni representatives from all classes and majors of the School of Management spoke one after another in combination with their own learning and work experience. While thanking the University and the School for cultivation, the alumni hoped to take this opportunity to build a bridge of communication between the School and its alumni in the regions of Yangtze River Delta and contribute to the School’s talent cultivation, discipline construction and high-quality development.
On May 24, Shi Yan and the delegation, together with Wang Chen, an alumnus of Class of 1998 of the School of Management, visited Croton Culture Media Co., Ltd., where Fang Ying, an alumna of Class of 1984 of the School of Management, works, and then visited the Shanghai Campus of GE Healthcare, a partner of the School of Management. Gu Jie, Chief Leadership Consultant of GE Medical Management Institute, led a tour around the GE exhibition area and introduced the story of GE and China.
