On October 16, the School of Management of Shandong University held the AACSB International Accreditation Promotion Meeting in order to continuously advance the orderly progress of the accreditation work and effectively enhance the college's educational quality and international competitiveness. Professor Li Tianxing from Fu Jen Catholic University was invited to visit and give special guidance on the key points of the accreditation. Shi Quanqi, Vice Dean of the Graduate School and Deputy Director of the Department of Graduate Student Affairs of the CPC Shandong University Committee, Zhang Jiaqi, Deputy Director of the Department of International Affairs, Qin Liyuan, Deputy Director of the Center for Teaching Advancement and Faculty Development of the Undergraduate School, Ding Ronggui, Dean of the School of Management, Fu Yanzhi, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Management, and other members of the school's leadership team attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Tang Guiyao, Vice Dean of the School of Management.

Ding Ronggui extended a warm welcome to Professor Li Tianxing and provided an in-depth interpretation of the strategic significance of AACSB International Accreditation for the school's development. He pointed out that with the transformation and competition in education, the era when universities acted as “sellers” of diplomas has come to an end. With the development of AI technology, accreditation serves as a key driver and pathway to gain the “ticket” of market trust, enhance the school's development, and boost its competitiveness. The entire school must establish an awareness of “full-staff participation, all-element involvement, and whole-process engagement”, clarify the timeline, work backwards from the deadline, and make every effort to move towards the 2026 accreditation target.
Wang Jing, Director of the International Cooperation and Accreditation Center of the School of Management, introduced the progress of the accreditation work, as well as the problems and challenges encountered. She stated that AACSB accreditation is of great significance in multiple aspects. Although steady progress has been made so far, the entire school still needs to unify its thinking, build consensus, tackle difficulties with a more solid work style and more efficient actions, and continue to promote the implementation of various accreditation tasks, so as to lay a solid foundation for the high-quality development of the School of Management.
Professor Li Tianxing gave guidance focusing on the theme of "Accelerating the Accreditation Process to Facilitate a Smooth Entry into the On-site Visit Phase" and provided a detailed interpretation of the second round of feedback from AACSB International Accreditation officials. He suggested that the School of Management should closely align with the official AACSB standards, and make efforts in optimizing the education system, deeply integrating accreditation requirements with the school’s strategy, promoting dynamic strategic adjustment and feedback, and conducting risk analysis, so as to continuously improve the educational quality and internationalization level. At the same time, as AACSB accreditation standards are becoming increasingly strict, it requires the leadership of the university to coordinate overall efforts and the teachers and students of the school to work together. Only by pooling consensus from all parties and forming a joint force can a solid foundation be laid for the accreditation work.
During the exchange and discussion session, Zhang Jiaqi emphasized that AACSB International Accreditation is an important driver for Shandong University to advance the construction of “Double First-Class” initiative and expand its international strategic layout. The Department of International Affairs will give full play to its functional advantages and provide full support for the school’s accreditation work. Shi Quanqi pointed out that AACSB accreditation is of great guiding significance for improving the quality of graduate education and optimizing the graduate education system. The Graduate School will strictly align with the accreditation standards and provide full support in curriculum system construction, academic ability cultivation, and international exchanges. Qin Liyuan stated that the Undergraduate School will fully cooperate with the AACSB accreditation, has already laid a solid foundation in curriculum connection and teaching quality improvement, and will continue to link up with various departments to refine teaching support work and consolidate the foundation for advancing the accreditation. Members of the leadership team of the School of Management reported their promotion ideas in combination with their respective responsibilities, and stated that they will take the accreditation work as an opportunity to make up for shortcomings, strengthen advantages, and contribute to the development of the school.
In his summary, Fu Yanzhi emphasized that AACSB International Accreditation is not only a test of the school's comprehensive strength, but also an important opportunity to promote the high-quality development of the school. The school will take the AACSB accreditation work as a core task of "focusing on quality and promoting development" and implement it effectively. It will carefully absorb the guidance and suggestions from Professor Li Tianxing, take this meeting as a new starting point, and make every effort to advance various accreditation tasks with stricter standards, a more practical work style, and stronger coordination, so as to contribute more to the university's efforts in building high-level disciplines through the high-quality development of the school.
Heads of various departments of the school, persons in charge of the accreditation project, heads of administrative offices, and teacher representatives attended the meeting.
