Professor Ding Ronggui Appointed General Chairman of the 13th IPMA Research Conference

The 13th IPMA Research Conference will be held in Dubai from April 9th to April 11th, 2025. Hosted by the International Project Management Association (IPMA), the conference has invited Professor Ding Ronggui from the School of Management at Shandong University to serve as its General Chairman.

With the theme of "Honoring 60 Years of Project Management: Leading the Way into the Future", the conference aims to reflect on six decades of achievements in the field of project management and explore the future development trends. Bringing together leading experts and scholars from around the world, the conference will focus on emerging trends in project management and business transformation, highlight the pivotal role of innovation in fostering collaboration between academia and industry, and advocate for closer partnerships to jointly forge a forward-looking project management ecosystem.

Editors-in-chief of top-tier journals in the field of project management, including Martina Huemann from IJPM, Nathalie Drouin from IJMPB, and Ralf Muller from PMJ, will attend the conference to engage in face-to-face discussions with doctoral students and young scholars, sharing best practices and insights into the publication process. To encourage academic research and innovative practices, the conference will present the highest international awards in project management research and, for the first time, award the IPMA Global Distinguished Project Management Professor Certificate. This certificate honors scholars and teams who have made significant contributions to advancing project management theory and practice through exceptional research, thereby inspiring continuous innovation and further development of the project management discipline.

Initiated in 2013, the IPMA Research Conference is currently the most influential research conference in the field of global project management. It has been successfully hosted across its 12 editions in countries such as Germany, the United States, China, Iceland, and Brazil. The conference provides a high-level academic platform for experts worldwide to advance the academic research and practical innovation in project management.
