From October 19th to 20th, the 12th China Human Resource Management Forum, themed“Innovation and Reform in Human Resource Management for the Development of New Quality Productive Forces”, was held in Chengdu, Sichuan. A research paper titled“How Does Digital Human Resource Management Stimulate Open Innovation? A Single-Case Study Based on a Resource Orchestration Perspective”won the First Prize of the 5th Shuming Paper Award. The paper was co-authored by Doctoral Student Sun Qian, Professor Tang Guiyao and Associate Researcher Hu Wen’an from the School of Management, Shandong University.
The 5th "Shuming Paper Award" was established at the forum, and 60 award-winning papers were selected from 516 submissions from 227 universities. Among them, there was 1 first-prize winner, 8 second-prize winners, 16 third-prize winners, and 35 excellent award winners.
The China Human Resource Management Forum is a high-level academic exchange platform established by the Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management Professional Committee of the Chinese Academy of Management. It collaborates with domestic universities and influential academic journals. Since 2012, the forum has been successfully held at prestigious universities such as Nankai University, Wuhan University, Nanjing University, South China University of Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Macau University of Science and Technology, Central South University, Northeastern University, Anhui University, Huaqiao University, and Shandong University.
Tang Guiyao is the Vice Dean of the School of Management of Shandong University, and Executive Dean of the Shandong Institute of Talent Development Strategy. She was selected as the Young Scholar under the "Changjiang Scholars Program", the Young Experts of TaiShan Scholars, and the candidate of the Shandong Hundreds of Theoretical Talents Project. Tang has long been dedicated to research and teaching in the fields of strategic human resource management, leadership, and talent development strategies. She has published more than 80 papers in high-level academic journals, including Management World, Nankai Business Review, Journal of Management Sciences in China, Personnel Psychology、Journal of Organizational Behavior、Human Resource Management、Journal of Business Ethics, and Nature's subsidiary publications. She has also authored four books including Strategic Human Resource Management, Human Resource Management, Human Resource Management in Group Companies, and Research on the System Strength of Human Resource Management in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in China. Her work has won the Second Prize of Shandong Social Science Achievement Award, the First Prize of Excellent Scientific Research Achievements in Human Resources and Social Security in Shandong Province, and other awards. As the project leader, she has presided over three projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one project supported by the National Social Science Fund of China, one project supported by the Humanities and Social Sciences Fund of the Ministry of Education, and multiple other provincial and ministerial-level projects. She has also participated as a sub-project leader in one major project supported by the National Social Science Fund of China.
Hu Wen'an, an associate researcher, serves as the Party Branch Secretary of Shandong Institute of Talent Development Strategy at Shandong University, Deputy Secretary-General of Shandong Higher Education Talents Research Association, and Deputy Director of the Talent Policy and Evaluation Research Office. He has been selected into the CAST Youth Talent Program of the China Association for Science and Technology and the Future Plan for Young Scholars of Shandong University. He has presided over various research projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Humanities and Social Sciences Fund of the Ministry of Education, key topics of Shandong Human Resources and Social Security, Shandong Key Research and Development Program (Soft Science Projects), Shanghai Philosophy and Social Science Fund, and China Postdoctoral Fund. His research findings have been published in journals such as Management World, Nankai Business Review, Journal of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management, Management Review, Science Research Management, Chinese Journal of Management, Science of Science and Management of S&T, R&D Management, Journal of Business Research, The International Journal of Human Resource Management, Decision Support Systems, and Journal of Management in Engineering. He has received awards such as the Second Prize for Excellent Scientific Research Achievements of Shandong Human Resources and Social Security, the "Best Paper Award" at the Forum on Case-based and Qualitative Research in Business Administration in China, the "First Prize" at the China Human Resource Management Forum and the inaugural Shu Ming Paper Award, the "First Prize" at the Taishan Academic Forum and the Academic Annual Meeting of Shandong Comparative Management Research Association, and Best Conference Micro Paper Finalist at the 9th Biennial Conference of the International Association for Chinese Management Research (IACMR).
Sun Qian, a doctoral student at the School of Management, Shandong University, has participated in one General Program supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one research project supported by Shandong Human Resources and Social Security, and multiple other research projects. Sun has also published research papers in journals such as Frontiers in Public Health and Journal of Organizational Change Management. Sun has received the Excellent Paper Award at the 5th (2020) Academic Annual Conference of Human Resources Development of China, the Excellent Paper Award at the 10th and 11th China Human Resource Management Forum, and the First Prize for Excellent Paper at the 2022 Annual Conference of Shandong Behavioral Science Society and the Academic Seminar on "Digital and Intelligent Human Resource Management".
