To achieve the improvement of the quality of professional master's degree training, the integration of industry and education, the cooperation between school and enterprise, the long-term mechanism for collaborative education, and the enhancement of practice education capacity, the School of Management held an appointment ceremony of graduate industry mentors on April 14th. Zheng Bin, Director of the Office of Professional Degree Education, Graduate Working Department of the Party Committee and the Graduate School of Shandong University, Wu Changqi, Dean of the School, and Fu Yanzhi, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School attended the ceremony.
On behalf of the School, Dean Wu expressed his gratitude to all industry experts for their support and introduced the basic situation of the School and professional master's degree training system. Director Zheng said that the ceremony provides a platform for students of the School to discuss on industry development, share practical experience, and inspire innovative thinking. Besides, industry mentors are expected to give full play to their strengths so as to enhance industry-education integration. Jin Tian, Chairman of Shandong Yongjinquan Investment Co., Ltd. delivered a speech as the representative of industry mentors and shared his views on how to be an excellent industry mentor and his gains and improvements from the experience. Secretary Fu gave an introduction to the promotion of professional master's degree training system of double mentors in the School. During the ceremony, industry mentors were awarded graduate industry mentor appointment letters from the School.
After the appointment ceremony, Bai Xianxue, Executive Director of Company I of the China Construction Industrial & Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd., gave a lecture on the topic of “Communication and Sharing on Having ‘Three Abilities’”. Chen Qingkui, Chairman of Jinan Keming Digital Technology Co., Ltd., gave a lecture on “Overall Solution for VR Technology Application in Manufacturing - VR+ Manufacturing”. Huang Jian, General Manager of Kunxin International Assets Appraisal Group Co., Ltd., gave a lecture on “Data Asset Valuation and Tabulation Practices”. Yan Jingyan, Chairman of Shandong Tudi Rural Revitalization Group Co., Ltd., gave a lecture on “Phased Thinking and Practice of Rural Revitalization”.
In response to the trend and requirements of higher education reform and development, the appointment stood as the vital exploration of the collaborative education model of double mentors, which would be further developed by the School. Moreover, the School will gradually expand the team of industry mentors to build a multi-dimensional mentor system and deepen the integration of industry and education through the construction of a multi-directional interactive platform for industry-university-research, both of which can promote the practical ability and professional competence of graduate students with professional master's degrees.
