In order to implement the fire safety work, further enhance the safety awareness of teachers and students, and improve their ability to handle fire emergencies, on April 10th, the School of Management, Shandong University, organized a fire evacuation drill under the guidance of the Safety and Security Office of Shandong University.
Before the drill, Du Chunxing from the Office introduced evacuation routes, basic evacuation skills, and the usage of fire extinguishers in detail to teachers and students. At 15:30, the drill officially began. When the fire alarm sounded, the School launched the emergency plan, with firefighting groups, guidance groups, and other groups in place, effectively dealing with the incipient fire. The teachers and students were orderly evacuated to the safe area in front of the building through the fire stairs.
After the drill, the School conducted a training on how to use fire extinguishers in the Central Campus.
The School attaches great importance to fire safety work and regards regular safety education and drills as important means to improve safety awareness, and self-protection and self-rescue capabilities of all teachers and students. The School has carefully organized the fire drill and participants indicated that through the on-site practical exercise, they learned the skills of evacuation and escape, mastered the usage of fire equipment, and comprehensively improved fire safety awareness.
