To strengthen the communication between schools and enhance the efficiency of joint contribution and shared benefit in work, on the morning of March 14th, Zhou Lin, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Management, and three other people visited the School of Business in Weihai Campus for discussion and exchanges. Yu Peili, secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Business, deputy secretaries Han Luqing and Guo Xiaoni, secretaries of the Party Committee, and all counselors attended the meeting.
On behalf of the Party Committee of the School of Business, Secretary Yu welcomed the School team. She said that the two Schools have intimate interactions dating back from the long past and extensive cooperation and it is hoped to take the exchange as a valuable opportunity to achieve joint goals in expanding the “Second Classroom” cooperation platform and promote the construction of “Great Ideological and Political Education” for talent cultivation, as part of efforts to build a joint education community. Deputy Secretary Zhou introduced the general situation of party building, publicity, and student work of the School of Management, and shared the experience of the School on the party building brand project with the deep integration of party building and disciplines, the “training apprentices” working mechanism of the student party branch and the establishment of characteristic brand activities based on students’ needs. During the open discussion, the two Schools respectively conducted exciting discussions on the issues of joint construction, the integration of party building and routine work, the publicity of the School, the training of core students as well as the development of activities with discipline characteristics. Additionally, they set forth the plan and framework for further work. After the meeting, the School team visited the Student Culture Corridor and the second-level psychological counseling station “Voice of Heart”, and also visited the Shandong University New Business Experimental Teaching Center accompanied by Xia Hui, vice dean of the School of Business.
In the afternoon, the School team along with the School of Business visited the Dishang Group and its garment production factory and planned to carry out the cooperation between Schools and enterprises in the next step.
The meeting with the School of Business further deepened the understanding between the two sides and promoted mutual exchanges and learning regarding party building, publicity, education quality improvement, and other aspects. Also, it facilitated the vision of cultivating high-quality talents in business management under the backdrop of the integrated development strategy of Shandong University.
