School of Management Launched “First Lesson of the School Year” Safety Education Activity

In order to improve students’ awareness of safety and ensure the orderly progress of all the work in the spring semester, the School of Management carried out the “first lesson of the school year” safety education activity. The activity is carried out through working meetings, themed class meetings, dormitory visits, newspapers on safety, and other forms, which is a combination of online and offline with multi-measures.




Fu Yanzhi, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Management, organized a working meeting for students in the new semester. Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School Li Kang organized a student working meeting for all counselors. At the meeting, Deputy Secretary Li arranged the safety work in the new semester, requiring all grades to actively carry out campus safety education, offer guidance and support for graduates and other groups, acquaint the group participating in the postgraduate entrance re-examination and the group preparing postgraduate entrance examination, and provide services and guarantees.



The School held a “first class of the spring semester” themed class meeting for 2023 postgraduates, and Shi Qingyun, a division-level counselor, delivered the lecture. Wang Donghua, counselor of 2022 postgraduates, said that safety is the prerequisite of career development, and asked students to master the basic survival skills and cope with the pressure of the workplace. Liu Beibei, counselor of 2021 postgraduates, conveyed the overall situation of the current employment and especially emphasized the importance of fire safety on the campus. The 2022 undergraduate counselors, Li Kang and Zhang Xinyu, emphasized in the new semester’s class committee meeting that they should build up safety awareness, carry out safety warning education in the new semester, and ensure that every student puts safety in the first place and they asked every student leader to actively participate in the work of campus safety to build a safe and harmonious campus environment. Zhang Yuan and Du Yining, counselors of 2023 undergraduates, led the students to learn the important arrangement and deployment of the current school safety work, as well as relevant laws and regulations and school discipline, educated and guided the students to use electricity in a safe way, and further standardized the use of electric vehicles, and through typical cases to make the students learn a lesson.



2020 undergraduate counselors Gao Cuitian and Wang Ziran went to the student dormitory to carry out a dormitory safety inspection, to eliminate potential risks. They talked with the graduating students to understand the situation and ideas of the students, strengthen the psychological guidance of graduates and offer assistance, reminded the students at school to pay attention to fire prevention and fraud prevention, and reminded the students in the field of internships to pay attention to personal safety and traffic safety.



Qi Liang and Zhang Yao, counselors of 2021 undergraduates, organized classes to hold themed class meetings and watched educational films such as Life is of Paramount Importance and Red Line to guide students to always keep safety in mind. Official Accounts Youth of the School of Management published the article Fire Prevention in Advance-Campus Safety Manual, focusing on dormitory fire prevention, electric vehicle charging, and other points, and making full use of the new media platform to help students develop fire awareness.


The School will continue to strictly implement the school’s safety requirements with a sense of responsibility and a strong commitment, and uphold the work philosophy of “strict management of students is caring for students”, building a network of campus safety responsibilities, carrying out student safety education, and safeguarding the physical and mental health and property safety of the students, so that every student can “learn in Shandong University, grow up happily”.
