On the morning of January 17th, the School of Management of Shandong University held a national program declaration mobilization meeting to share the experience of the national program declaration in 2023 and mobilize the national program declaration in 2024. Hu Dawei, Director of the Technology Transfer Centre and Vice President of the Department of Science and Technology Management of Shandong University, and Han Jishao, Vice President of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences of Shandong University attended the meeting and made reports. Wu Changqi, Dean of the School of Management, presided over the meeting, with more than 80 teachers and post-doctoral fellows attended.
Dean Wu introduced the outstanding research performance of the School in 2023, recognized the achievements of teachers in undertaking national programs, and said that the School will support all aspects of the program declaration for all teachers, and encourage all teachers to actively declare programs.
At the meeting, Director Hu introduced the characteristics and orientation of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the revision of the NSFC declaration policy in 2024. He suggested all teachers read the program declaration guide, plan the program undertaking and declaration, declare boldly, and make more attempts. From topic selection, declaration to completion, Vice President Han introduced the situation of social science programs in terms of declaration types of national programs, declaration types of the Ministry of Education programs, various types of program approvals in recent years, and declaration precautions. The meeting also invited Professor Zhao Haichuan, Associate Professor Xu Ning, and Associate Professor Li Ying to give special reports on the declaration of national programs, application writing, and expert evaluation.
In recent years, the School has attached great importance to the declaration and management of various programs, and steadily promotes the development of excellent talents and the output of high-quality research achievements through the construction of innovative teams and research platforms, so as to create better research conditions and academic atmosphere for the teachers of the School. At the same time, the School has been improving its research service according to the principle of “whole process, in advance, organized” and “talents, key, one-to-one”.
For the next step, the School will continue to do a good job in the organization of all kinds of programs, further promote the research organization and management upgrading, enhance the overall level of research in the School, and bring together a strong impetus for the innovative development of the School.
