To further promote the discipline construction, improve the discipline layout, and enhance the professional degrees and graduate education system, the Department of Accounting and the Department of Corporate Finance of the School of Management held an academic seminar from January 9th to 10th. The seminar discussed the construction of the professional doctoral system in accounting and auditing, and the integration development of accounting and finance with mathematical and scientific disciplines. Vice Dean Zhang Jianghua attended the seminar and delivered a speech, and the seminar was hosted by Li Bin, Director of the Department of Accounting.
Vice Dean Zhang introduced the postgraduate talent cultivation system of the School, as well as the enrollment and cultivation of postgraduate professional degree talent cultivation. He pointed out that teachers, as the backbone of the School’s development and discipline construction, should bear in mind the initial mission of educating people for the Party and the country, and cultivate high-level specialists with solid theoretical foundation and strong practical ability.
From the aspects of “System Background”, “Promotion of Domestic Colleges and Universities” and “Declaration Requirements”, Associate Professor Yao Zhenye of the Department of Accounting shared his views on the topic of “Exploring the Construction of Professional Doctoral System for Accounting and Auditing”. He pointed out that the construction of the professional doctoral system should pay more attention to the practical ability and high-end skills of students, so as to meet the needs of economic development and high-end talents. Associate Professor Wang Shujun of the Department of Corporate Finance shared his views on the integration development of accounting and finance with mathematical and scientific disciplines. Participating teachers carried out in-depth discussions and exchanges.
Li Bin concluded that he hoped the participating teachers would produce fruitful results in their fields, and promote the undergoing of accounting teaching. He encouraged young teachers to promote the efficient development of graduate education through teaching reform, academic research and teaching.
The seminar provides a platform for teachers of the School to exchange ideas, further promoting the high-quality cultivation of graduate students and innovative development of accounting and corporate finance in the School.
