Professor Yang Huixin’s Team Published an Article in Economic Daily

On December 22nd, Professor Yang Huixin of the School of Management, Shandong University, and Professor Jiao Yong of Shandong University of Science and Technology published an article entitled “Understanding the Connotation of New Productivity Boosters” in Economic Daily.




The article pointed out that accelerating the formation of new productivity boosters is the key move for China to grasp the opportunity of the new round of scientific and technological revolution, build a modern industrial system, and then comprehensively shape a new advantage in development. The connotation of new productivity boosters contains four levels: it is the concrete embodiment of advanced productivity, which can be understood from the two aspects of “new” and “booster”; it is the source of power to support the innovation and development of strategic emerging industries and future industries, and the key force to promote the construction of modernized industrial system; it is the driving force to promote the transformation of old and new dynamic energy, achieve the transformation of the development mode, and lead the high-quality development; it is also the key factor in the great power competition.



Yang Huixin is a Distinguished Professor and Level-2 Professor of Shandong University, one of the National “Ten Thousand People Plan” Philosophy and Social Science Leading Talents, the Chief Expert of the Major Program of the National Social Science Fund of China, the Chief Expert of the Ministry of Education’s “Innovative Team Development Plan”, and the Director of the Shandong University Industrial and Enterprise Organization Institute. She is also the vice president of the China Society of Industrial Economics and president of the Shandong Institute for Comparative Management Research, and her main academic interest is on the intersection of industrial organization and enterprise growth.
