The working group conducted a focused inspection of the electrical and fire-fighting measures in study rooms for doctoral students in the Luneng Building. The inspection found that there were some fire safety hazards in study rooms, including excessive personal belongings, failure to turn off the power when leaving, and unauthorized use of electrical appliances. In response to the problems, the working group asked the relevant personnel to immediately investigate and make improvements.

Secretary Meng said that the School has set up a volunteer team to make regular inspections, strengthening the safety management. Teachers and students should consciously abide by the relevant provisions, not pile up too many personal belongings in the study room, office and other places, not use high-power electrical appliances, ensure that the power is turned off when leaving, and develop the habit of safe use of electricity.

Attaching great importance to safety, the School will continue to increase fire safety inspections, regular inspections and maintenance of the School’s fire safety facilities, strengthen fire safety publicity, improve the fire safety awareness of teachers and students, and jointly maintain campus fire safety in the future.
