To promote the overall development of students, help students enjoy the fun of physical exercise, and enhance their physical fitness, the School of Management held the 2023 Sports and Culture Festival on the central campus recently. Fu Yina, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, and counselors of all grades attended the opening ceremony.
Deputy Secretary Fu expressed the hope that through the sports event, students could enhance the friendship, deepen the understanding and improve the cohesion, and all athletes would adhere to the Olympic Spirit of “Friendship, Understanding, Cohesion” and the principles of fair competition and friendship first, striving for the self-improvement.
The Sports and Culture Festival featured three modules: competitive events, entertaining activities, and interactive booths. In the competitive events, athletes competed actively and displayed vigorous spirits. The entertaining activities included seven events such as Floorball, group jump rope, dodgeball, tug-of-war, etc., with over 880 participants of 115 teams, fully meeting the diverse and entertaining sports needs of students, exercising the teamwork ability and enhancing the cohesion. In addition, the interactive booths provided opportunities for students who did not sign up for the competition to enjoy childhood games like rolling hoops, playing marbles, spinning tops, throwing the bean bag, etc. At the “DIY every day” booth, they created handicrafts, which integrated the sport spirit into their handmade works and showed the unique charm of sports culture. A total of 538 students participated in the 24 events of the Sports and Culture Festival.
During the event, students improved their physical fitness and enhanced their sense of unity, promoting the development of mass sports in the School. In the future, the School will continue to innovate sports activities, educate students through sports activities, and organize sports competitions for all members.
