On the morning of November 14th, the School of Management held a seminar on the construction of professional degree programs. Heads of each program attended the seminar, which was presided over by Zhang Jianghua, Vice Dean of the School.
At the seminar, each heads presented the current development status and existing problems of their respective programs. They shared practical experiences in the construction and conducted in-depth discussions on the quality of the enrolling students, standards for professional dissertations, and the construction of industry-education integration bases. Vice Dean Zhang stated that the model primarily cultivating professional graduate students within the university is no longer in line with the demand for high-level talents in the era of Artificial Intelligence. Therefore, the cultivation of professional degree talents should actively promote industry-education integration, establish a talent cultivation mechanism with deep industry participation, and encourage various professional degree programs to explore innovative measures in collaboration with enterprises, such as jointly formulating programme syllabus, compiling teaching materials, developing courses, and producing research results. Additionally, we should pay attention to the rationality and scientificity of the curriculum system, constantly improve instruction methods, and cultivate students’ innovative and practical capabilities.
The seminar provided a platform for communication and laid a solid foundation for the development of graduate education in professional degrees at the School. The School will continue to deepen educational reforms, optimize curriculum design, and strengthen faculty development, further enhancing the quality and effectiveness of professional degree education.
