On November 8th, the 11th Tencent Business School Development Forum and the Annual Summit on Professional Degree Education with the theme of “Freshness and Integration” was held in Beijing, which brought together nearly 200 domestic and international guests, such as academic experts, representatives of universities and colleges, etc. to explore the innovation and integration of business education and make suggestions for the high-quality and sustainable development of the higher education industry. The MBA/EMBA Education Center of Shandong University was invited to attend the Summit and won several honors.
Wu Changqi, Dean of the School of Management and Director of the MBA/EMBA Education Center of Shandong University, was awarded 2023 Role Model of Business Education, and Liu Bing, Assistant Dean of the School, Head of the Department of Leadership and Organization Management, and Executive Director of the Center, was awarded 2023 Distinguished Scholar of Business Education. The Center was awarded 2023 Influential Business School.
At the Summit, Professor Wu gave a speech on the theme of “Management Education in the Era of Profound Changes from MBA to MBI”. He said that in the context of the profound changes unseen in a century, the MBA education has not only undergone great changes, facing the challenges of Artificial Intelligence and Internationalization, but also provided opportunities for the development of Chinese MBA education. In the new era, Chinese culture and management thoughts should be fully explored, the role of multiculturalism should be given full play to in the new era, and a community with a shared future for mankind should be built. In addition, Professor Wu talked about the need to cultivate a new generation of management talents in China, and the need to innovate MBA education in many aspects, such as programs, curriculum, instruction method, cooperative partners, and faculty strength.
