From November 4th to 5th, the Taishan Academic Forum and the 2023 Academic Conference of Shandong Comparative Management Research Institute were held by Shandong University’s “Industrial Organization and Enterprise Growth for High-Quality Development” Innovation Team and the Institute. The theme of the Conference is “Artificial Intelligence, Management Decision-Making, and High-Quality Development of Enterprises in the Context of Digital Economy”. Guo Kesha, Director of the Center for Economic Policy Research, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Vice President of China Society of Industrial Economics, and Yang Huixin, Chief Expert of the Innovation Team and President of the Institute attended the Conference.
President Yang reported the work of the Innovation Team in the past year, and said that the Institute is based on China’s national and Shandong’s conditions, serves the economic and social development of Shandong province, and is committed to the advanced management research.
From the perspective of academic theories and enterprise practices, Director Guo delivered a lecture on “Efforts to Enhance the Safety and Stability of the Industrial Chain & Supply Chain” and Sun Deshan, Chairman of Shandong Guoshun Construction Group, gave a speech on “Discussion on the Digital Transition of Enterprises”.
In the “Face-to-Face between Editor and Author” session, Zang Xuheng, editor-in-chief of Review of Industrial Economics, Wang Naihe from the editorial department of Nankai Economic Studies, Li Xianjun, researcher of Journal of Business and Management, Kong Qunxi, director of the editorial department of Industrial Economics Research, Fan Hejun, editor of Journal of Economics and Management Research, Wang Chengli, editor of Dongyue Tribune, Cao Shouxin, deputy review editor of Shandong Social Sciences, and Yuan Pengwei, associate editor of Journal of University of Jinan(Social Science Edition), shared the history of the journals, topic selection preferences, and how to select topics, and discussed with the scholars on how to present the innovation of the paper, the use of research methodology, and the response to the reviewer’s comments.
More than 40 teachers and students from the Innovation Team attended the Conference and reported their latest research in the sub-forums, with 2 first prizes, 3 second prizes, and 2 third prizes for Excellent Thesis Awards. The Conference is an important practice for the Innovation Team to promote the linkage of “academia, enterprise, and education” and to do advanced management research. By hosting the Conference, the Innovation Team has strengthened the exchange of ideas and academic discussions with sister universities, which is of great significance for the construction of the Innovation Team’s cooperation platform.
More than 200 experts and scholars from more than 40 domestic universities, research institutions, and enterprises, including Tongji University, Nankai University, Institute of Industrial Economics of CASS, and Shandong University, attended the Conference.
