On the afternoon of October 27th, Li Xi, Executive Vice Dean of the Faculty of International Tourism and Management of the City University of Macau, Shen Huawen, Associate Professor and Course Director of the Faculty, Li Zheng, Secretary General of the Friendly Shandong World Chamber of Culture and Tourism, and Sheng Zhiqiang, Executive Director and General Manager of QINGDAO SHENGCAI CULTURE MEDIA CO., LTD, and their team visited the School of Management for discussions and exchanges. Huang Xiaoting, Vice Dean of the School and Head of the Department of Culture and Tourism, and Zhang Jianghua, Vice Dean of the School, attended the seminar.
Vice Dean Huang welcomed the visit of Li Xi and his team. Both sides introduced the basic situation of their schools in terms of school history, discipline construction, faculty strength, and student training. Li Xi highly praised the Fifth Symposium on Experimental Research Methods in Tourism hosted by the Department of Culture and Tourism, believing that the experimental research methods in tourism and the Tourism Behavior Laboratory provide new ideas and directions for the traditional academic research in tourism, and build up a cutting-edge platform for the research in China through academic forums. At the symposium, the two sides launched in-depth exchanges and discussions on the joint training of doctoral students in tourism management, thesis review, academic exchanges and joint declaration of research projects, and reached a consensus to further strengthen information exchange, team visits and exchanges, regular seminars, and other cooperation, developing a long-term, sustainable and effective cooperation in an institutionalized mode.
Accompanied by Vice Dean Huang, the participants visited the Tourism Behavior Laboratory of the School, gained an in-depth understanding of the laboratory design concept, construction process, laboratory management, experimental design and experimental research results, and experienced the VR equipment.
The symposium established the friendly cooperation between the two sides, laying a solid foundation for the School to continuously promote the internationalization construction of disciplines and high-quality development.
