To further promote the AACSB international accreditation, the School of Management held the 17th Promotion Meeting of AACSB International Accreditation on the afternoon of September 28th. Professor Hua Guowei from the School of Economics and Management of Beijing Jiaotong University was invited to visit and guide the accreditation as the official assigned tutor of AACSB. Zhang Jiaqi, Vice Minister of International Affairs Department of Shandong University, members of the leadership team of the School of Management and relevant faculty attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Vice Dean Tang Guiyao.
Dean Wu Changqi expressed his gratitude to Professor Hua Guowei for his visit and guidance as well as the university’s support for the school’s international accreditation. He pointed out that the preliminary work of the school’s international accreditation has achieved stage-by-stage results, and the school will take the AACSB international accreditation as a handhold and lead the school’s internationalization development to a new stage.
Professsor Hua gave a special guidance on the theme of international accreditation to help the development of business schools, sharing the experience of the School of Economics and Management of Beijing Jiaotong University about international accreditation. He emphasized that the whole school should attach great importance to the international accreditation, and all departments should unify their thoughts and cooperate to contribute to the international development of the school.
Zhang Jiaqi said that the international accreditation of the School is an important practice of the internationalization strategy of Shandong University, and the Department of International Affairs, as the leading unit of the university internationalization, will provide strong guarantee for the international accreditation of the School.
Meng Qingchun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, pointed out in the conclusion that the international accreditation is a major event in the School’s “14th Five-Year Plan”. In the process of accreditation, all faculty and staff should simultaneously improve business construction to promote the internal and high-quality development of the School, contributing to the strength of the School for the historic transformation of Shandong University from big to strong.
