On August 26, to further enhance the teamwork spirit and sense of collective honor of the new students, and to strengthen the communication and cooperation among the new students, the Graduate Education Center of the School of Management of Shandong University organized the new postgraduates of 2023 in MEM to carry out the development activity. Vice Dean Zhang Jianghua, Director of MEM Center Wang Lei, and young teacher Yao Shuyang attended the activity.
Before the activity, Zhang Jianghua briefly introduced the characteristics of the MEM program and the main course system of the School, and hoped that students could deepen their understanding of each other, improve their coordination and communication skills, sense the team spirit, and fully demonstrate the innovation and creativity and the upward spirit of the postgraduates in the new era.
The freshmen were divided into four groups. To stimulate the enthusiasm and strengthen mutual understanding and trust, the instructors first organized a series of ice-breaking activities for students to familiarize themselves with the members of the group, select the team leader, and design their team name, song, flag, shape and slogan. During the activity, students showed enthusiasm, collaboration and creativity.
The activity built an effective communication bridge for the 2023 MEM freshmen, forming an atmosphere of group planning and collective efforts, which improved team cohesion and centripetal force and also helped to promote the MEM professional construction to a new level. Students said that this activity can help them not only fully understand the team leadership, exercise communication and coordination ability, but also cultivate team honor and personal responsibility, ignite the fighting spirit for the future campus life, and open the new journey of learning in the School of Management of Shandong University with more power.
