On June 20, Professor Ren Shuang from Queen’s University was invited to give an academic lecture to the teachers and students of the School of Management. The lecture is one of a series of lectures on discipline and academic innovation in the School of Management. Vice Dean Professor Wang Yimin, Vice Dean Professor Tang Guiyao, and teachers and students of the school attended the lecture, and Associate Professor Chen Mengyuan from the Department of Leadership and Organizational Management presided over the lecture.
Professor Ren Shuang shared an academic report with the theme of “Generative AI and Sustainability HRM”, and discussed the ongoing related research. Professor Ren Shuang first described the four stages, theoretical perspective and conceptual connotation of the evolution of sustainable HRM. And then, she pointed out that emerging technologies such as machine learning have become important tools for managing the labor force, data has become the key asset of the organization, and the combination of generative AI and sustainable HRM can achieve digital sustainability. Finally, Professor Ren Shuang and the teachers and students present discussed the theoretical basis, research level, future research direction and enterprise practice of sustainable HRM.
