Professor Tang Guiyao of the School of Management Selected into the List of 2022 “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers”

Recently, Elsevier, a world-renowned publishing group, officially released the list of 2022 “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers”. In 2022, there were 5,216 “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers” on the list from 504 universities, enterprises and research institutions, covering 10 disciplines and 84 first-class disciplines of the Ministry of Education. Professor Tang Guiyao from the School of Management of Shandong University was selected as one of Elsevier 2022 Highly Cited Chinese Researchers in business administration discipline.




It is reported that the list takes Scopus, the authoritative citation and index database in the world, as the statistical source of Chinese researchers’research achievements, analyzes and identifies Chinese researchers in different periods of their research careers from multiple dimensions, and systematically displays their research achievements. Being selected into the list of Highly Cited Researchers represents the researchers’ international influence in their own research field, and also proves that their research achievements have made great contributions to the development of the discipline.


In recent years, our school has always adhered to the guidance of Xi Jinping’s thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, accelerated the construction of first-class disciplines and discipline modernization, published more than 500 research papers in Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, Production and Operations Management, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Journal of Management World, and received 38 awards at the provincial and ministerial level or above, taking multiple measures to stimulate the vitality of research and innovation of teachers and students and promote the connotative development of science and innovation in the whole school.




Tang Guiyao, the Vice Dean, professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Management of Shandong University, Executive Dean of Shandong Institute of Talent Development Strategy, Director of Global Strategic Talent Development Research Center of Shandong University, Taishan Young Scholar, and recipient of the Hundred Talents Program of Shandong Province, has long been concerned about the research and teaching of strategic human resource management, green human resource management, leadership and talent development strategy. More than 70 papers have been published in high-level academic journals including Journal of Management World, Nankai Business Review, Journal of Management Sciences in China, Chinese Journal of Management, Personnel Psychology, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, and Journal of Business Ethics. among which 6 research papers have been highly cited by ESI. They have been selected into the list of 2022 Highly Cited Chinese Researchers, and published teaching materials and academic monographs such as Strategic Human Resource Management, Human Resource Management, Human Resource Management within Enterprise Group, and Research on Strength of Human Resource Management of SME. As the person in charge, she has successively completed and studied one National Social Science Fund Project (Youth), two National Natural Science Foundation of China (General) and several provincial and ministerial projects, and participated in one major National Social Science Fund Project as the sub-project leader. She served as director of Chinese Association for Talent Research, vice president of Shandong Higher Education Talent Research Association, director of the Association for Soft Science Shandong (director of talent professional committee), editorial board of European Management Journal, Management and Organization Review, and reviewer of academic journals such as Human Resource Management, Journal of Business Ethics, Nankai Business Review and Chinese Journal of Management.
