On May 7, the School of Management held the 2023 Fireflies Music Festival “Parallel Universe, Hopeful Future” in Zhongxin campus. The music festival innovatively integrates orientation and graduation, sending a message to new students and wishes to graduates.
Before the performance, Wu Changqi, Dean of the School of Management, wished the growth of the class of 2022 and the bright future of the class of 2023 in his speech. The music festival kicked off in the chorus song “As Your Wish” by Zhang Yuan, the 2020 graduate student instructor, and Zhang Xinyu, the 2022 undergraduate student instructor. The song sent wishes to the students that “everything you want will be obtained, and everything you do will be successful”. The performance was divided into four units: “New Blessing”, “Graduation Memories”, RAP Strength Law, and Band Performance. The performances of songs and dances include “Beyond Light Years”, “Rooftop”, “O.O.”, “Waiting for You”, “Suddenly This Summer”, “Wings of My Words” and “Fiesta”. The Rap Unit pushed the atmosphere of the music festival to a climax, and beat collided with rap, showing the distinct personality and unique views of the students in the School of Management. In the Band Unit, three different styles of campus bands came on stage one after another, and all audience got up to echo the stage. Finally, the electronic sound drove the audience to be enthusiastic, and the stadium became a sea of music. The meeting never ended, and the memory remained here. The music festival came to an end in the fixed track “Love Each Other”.
To provide a diverse stage and show the charm of the students, in 2023, Fireflies Music Festival held three separate activities, garden party, random street dance and flash stage. In the garden party on the south side of Qiyuan, some classes from the School of Management in 2022 and 2023, the entrepreneurial team of the School of Management, and the student associations attracted everyone to stop and enjoy, including Creative Workshop, Time Post Office, Ten-cent Poet, L 'Oré al Youth, Make a Wish, Worry-free Grocery Booth and Entrepreneurship Experience Hall. In the random dance venue in front of the gymnasium, nearly 100 dancers showed their charm with music. In the flash stage of Jixia Square, campus singers sang randomly.
