On May 15, Wu Changqi, Dean of the School of Management, and Meng Qingchun, Secretary of the Party Committee, led a team to the School of Management and Economics of Beijing Institute of Technology to conduct a special investigation. Wang Zhaohua, Dean of the School of Management and Economics, Beijing Institute of Technology, and Yan Zhijun, Secretary of the Party Committee, and other relevant leaders participated in the research activities.
At the seminar, Wang Zhaohua introduced the overall situation of discipline construction, teaching staff and personnel training of the School of Management and Economics of Beijing Institute of Technology. Wu Changqi introduced the historical evolution, international certification and development ideas of the School of Management of Shandong University. The two sides focused on the theme and the key points, and conducted exchanges around “cultivating first-class management talents, building first-class management disciplines, building first-class teachers, carrying out first-class scientific research, and promoting first-class school governance”, and made specific discussions on issues such as promoting interdisciplinary integration, through-training of undergraduates and postgraduates, effectively attracting leading talents and young talents, strengthening the construction of teachers’ morality and style, joint degrees across universities and Sino-foreign cooperation in running universities. After the seminar, the investigation team made a field visit to the financial laboratory, administrative office and overall office environment of the School of Management and Economics of Beijing Institute of Technology.
The Party Committee of the School of Management and Economics of Beijing Institute of Technology was selected as the third batch of “National Benchmark Departments for Party Building Work” by the Ministry of Education. The school passed the international AMBA certification, EQUIS certification and AACSB certification, and its discipline construction achieved remarkable results and fruitful results.
