On June 10 and 11, The 2nd Forum on “High-Quality Development of Enterprises under the Background of Digital Economy” and the Seminar on “Two Industries” Integration to Promote High-Quality Development of Manufacturing Industry were held in Shandong University. Experts and scholars from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Nankai University, Ocean University of China, Nanjing University of Finance and Economics, Capital University of Economics and Business, Shandong University of Science and Technology, Shandong University of Finance and Economics, Shandong Academy of Social Sciences and other universities and research institutions participated in the conference to discuss the opportunities, challenges and development of enterprises in the digital economy.
The forum was held in the form of online and offline. Professor Yang Huixin of the School of Management of Shandong University delivered the opening speech and Professor Xu Fengzeng of the School of Management of Shandong University presided over the opening ceremony.
Guo Kesha, Director of the Center for Economic Policy Research of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Dean of the School of Economics and Finance and Dean of the Institute of Economic Development and Reform of Huaqiao University, and Zang Xuheng, Professor of the School of Economics of Shandong University, delivered keynote speeches respectively. Professor Guo Kesha gave a keynote speech on “Promoting the deep integration of digital economy and real economy”, which explained the meaning and content, significant role, and main path of “deep integration of digital economy and real economy”, and emphasized that the deep integration of digital economy and real economy is the core of building a modernized industrial system, and the key to promoting high-quality development. Professor Guo Kesha pointed out that in the critical period of high-quality development of China's economy, it is necessary to enhance the independent innovation capability of digital technology, accelerate the cultivation of digital talents, and deepen the innovation in key areas and key links, drawing up a blueprint for the deep integration of digital economy and real economy. Based on the thinking of new consumption patterns in the digital economy, Professor Zang Xuheng gave a speech on “Digital Economy and Expanding Consumption” , sharing his thoughts on the new consumption structure, new consumption expectation and cultivation of new consumption mode in the digital economy, emphasizing that to promote high-quality economic development in the digital economy, we must adhere to the strategy of expanding consumption demand, accelerate the construction of new consumption infrastructure and service guarantee capacity, and promote economic development with new consumption to form a positive cycle.
The keynote of the conference was launched in the form of forum reports. The forum launched academic exchanges and ideological collisions around academic issues, including “The Integration of Digital Economy And Real Economy Promotes the High-Quality Development of Manufacturing Enterprises”, “Digital Technology Empowers the Digital Transformation of Manufacturing Enterprises”, “Data Elements Empowers the High-Quality development of Enterprises”, and “Industrial Internet Platform Empowers High-Quality Development of Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises”. A total of 22 papers were reported in this forum, and the participating experts and scholars made comments and interactions.
