The third National Invitational Tournament of Real Estate Innovation and Entrepreneurship in colleges and universities was recently held at Tongji University. The School of Management of Shandong University (SDU) team came first in the group competition and won the “Best Planning Scheme Award.”
After seven months of fierce competition, 11 teams were selected to take part in the national finals. These outstanding teams were from Tsinghua University, Tongji University, Shandong University, South China University of Technology, East China Normal University, Central China Normal University, Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology, Chongqing University, Southeast University, Harbin Institute of Technology, and Dongbei University of Finance and Economics. SDU’s team consisted of five undergraduates from the School of Management: Kong Haiyang, Sun Shikun, Zhang Kai, Huang Yulong, and Li Yingying, and was tutored by Zhang Qin, Gai Jianhua, Yang Haijun, and Zhang Xiangwei from the Research Center of the School, along with Kong Qingshan of the Department of Project Management and Industrial Engineering. The team applied the Dassault Group’s MBSE software for the first time to a management discipline, and used it to explore the intelligent digital transformation and application of real estate planning. This won them the “Best Planning Scheme Award” and first place in the group competition of the third National Invitational Tournament of Real Estate Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Colleges and Universities.
Conceived by Hang Lung for Real Estate of Tsinghua University in 2016, the National Invitational Tournament of Real Estate Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Colleges and Universities is a high-level national competition in the field of real estate. Hang Lung of Real Estate of Tsinghua University and China Real Estate Education conducted the competition, which is overseen by the China Real Estate Association and hosted by the China Construction Education Association. The aim is to encourage research concerning real estate and the current issues affecting the field, and to provide a platform on which students can demonstrate their professional innovation and entrepreneurship. This was the first time that Shandong University was invited to participate in the competition, and this edition was initiated by Tsinghua University and co-organized by Tongji University and E-house Education-China Real Estate Education. The sole sponsor was Cric Big Data Group and the questions for the participants were devised by RiseSun Development Group.
Teams of students from the School of Management have participated in all of the national real estate professional competitions since 2017 and have won the Special Award in the National Real Estate Investment Analysis Competition, first prize in the National Real Estate Planning Contest, and other real estate competition prizes. The serves to demonstrate the outstanding abilities and skills of the students from the School of Management.
